Yes, we are just in time again for this month's Artsy Craftsy- the theme being glue/ gum...
This blog seems to be dying, if not for Artsy Craftsy.
Anyway, here we go.
1) Tir-ann-ga (ann-as in ann/ food in sanskrit)
I did see another submission of a tricolour made with rice. well,we had made this craft around indy day cos this seemed like a good idea to do after Shruti's gentle reminder to post in ur crafts and her suggestion to use grains/ indy day theme. a very simple activity- for Saffron, we used-Masoor dal, for white-we used rice, for Green - moong dal and the stick is with cinnamon/dalchini. wanted paint rice for blue, but didn't have patience.
2) Rupee symbol with Pasta
The newly created symbol for rupee caught my eye and was pretty easy to do.(actually i could not think of elaborate designs to stick pasta on) just used macaroni and penne for sticking onto the design n painted it red.
3) Barbie and friends - up on Cloud No. 9 in a Hot air Balloon
another simple activity. draw designs of hot air balloons of diff size on wrapping paper. cut out cloud shapes. on a piece of paper, place the clouds (i put a little atta below so they would be raised), take some sponge, dab it in blue colour and wash it over the paper. let it dry and then stick ur hot air balloons. make a basket with small corrugated cardboard pieces. use a sketch pen to attach it to the balloon n its done. we just cut out some Barbie pics and other pics from some pamphlet and added to the decoration.
4) Desi Paul the octopus
Use a paper plate ( whatever colour or paint it like i did). paint a piece of bubble wrap using mixture of glue and paint. let it dry. then cut out strips like tentacles. stick them to the back on the plate.make eyes and a smile from white paper and stick them on. stick on some yellow dots if you wish.
Recommended age 3+ cos for all crafts i tried to involve Momo, but all that happened is her running away with the glue, mixing the grains, sticking here n there, using the glue stick as a lip balm, n really doing it her way, which made me lose my temper ever so often. anyway, we did manage this in time this month n it was good fun with J chipping in with the drawings/ cuttings / ideas etc. n of cos thanks to my dear Mister Maker for item no 3 & 4.
Ciao now and will surely update this blog with some of Momo's antics soon.

Wow..super stuff...while reading through I was just going to ask you if Momo did any of these..and then read the last para...thank you for writing that...I thought R was the only 2 year one with no sense of art whatsoever and only interested in running away with stuff :):) I love ya momo :)
