At last, here is our submission for this month’s Artsy Craftsyaftsy. Just in the nick of time I think. This month’s theme, Treasure from Trash was a great theme, n i have a lot of trash (i hoard all kinds of junk) . so it was quite confusing whether to use plastic bottles or plastic bags or what else. But my ever dependable Mr. Maker(Point 1 & 2 below) from Cbeebies and Toot (Point 4)came to my rescue. So here we are, an assorted bunch of things, made from all reusable material.
1) Decorated Reusable Tin containers : J had bought a lot of these cookie tins on Indigo Airlines. They are extremely useful to store Momo’s knick knacks, like clips, pens etc. so we just decorated these tins using the following:
The yummy cookie tins
a) Black paper/ sticker combo – I just stuck black paper around the tin and stuck some stickers that we had. Looks so cute n so easy to make. Momo helped stick on the stickers.
b) Clay- Glitter – chamki sequins combo –we stuck a roll of clay around the box and rolled the tin in some glitter/ sequins to get this wonderful shiny thing.
2) Spinner/ Spinning wheel – this can be a toy for a small kid (of cos used by adults) –we used the outer cover of a cheese cube box; put a pencil though the centre making a hole. Then covered the top of the cover with paint and glue mix. Again sprinkled some sequins and glitter and voila, your spinner is ready.
3) Bangle Box – I used a box which we got when I bought some bakery item from a shop here (Theobroma). Just painted it with some bright colours and there is it, my bangle and watch holder.
4) Stuart Little Family –Part 2: We had made Stuart little Family for an earlier contest. Here we have part 2- Aunt Shelly Little. Made it from a coconut shell. Its quite simple. Just clean out the coconut, then stick some coconut shell strands to make a tail on one side. Stick some more strands in the front like whiskers. Put a red colour sticker/ bindi for a nose, make some ears out of paper or anything else and stick it. (I had some sponge lying around so used it). Stick on some eyes n there you have a squeaky little mouse.

Wow! Loved all of them :) Cute simple creations!!
